The Launch of Zero Waste Competition for School Students

The Ministry of Municipality announced the launch of a “Zero Waste” competition, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, to encourage students to participate in the “Zero Waste” campaign and create new ways to dispose of waste, recycle, and protect natural resources.

The competition, which will run from January 22 to March 2, aims at the participation of public and private school students in the three academic stages: primary, preparatory, and secondary, to show their creativity in expressing its subject, through flexibility, originality, innovation, and creating an aware generation of the importance of waste by developing a methodology of thinking about its management.

It also seeks to educate and attract young people to volunteer work, spread the message and goals of the “Zero Waste” campaign so that it reaches the largest segment of society, and highlight the importance of waste disposal through recycling and use, which leads to reducing the need for the use of raw materials, with preserving the sustainability of natural resources, which contributes to improving the quality of life.
