Baghdad, The Baghdad Operations Command announced the arrest of three terrorists and a gang of drug trafficking and promotion, the liberation of a kidnapped girl, and the arrest of the kidnapper in separate areas of Baghdad.
A statement by the leadership stated that the security forces arrested two suspects in accordance with Article 4/1 of terrorism while trying to enter the capital, Baghdad through the checkpoints (Al-Shaab, the Abu Ghraib ), while a force from the Second Division, Federal Police, in partnership with a detachment of Baghdad intelligence, Al-Hurriya Division, managed to arrest a wanted suspect in accordance with Article 1/4 of terrorism, after his presence in the district of the brigade’s responsibility was monitored.
He added that, in a related context, a force of the Second Division, Federal Police, in partnership with a detachment from the National Security Apparatus, arrested a gang of narcotics trafficking and promotion, consisting of three people, who were caught in their possession (half a kilogram) of crystal narcotic, along with drug devices and an unlicensed pistol. This was after receiving accurate intelligence information that they were in Al-Saydiyah area, next to Karkh.
He explained that according to accurate intelligence information, a force from the same division set up an ambush on “Qatar Al-Nada Street” next to Karkh, during which it managed to free a kidnapped girl and arrest her kidnapper, who was riding a Kia Prigo vehicle.
