Tension builds up in Ain Al-Hilweh after shooting incident in Lebanon

BEIRUT, March 28 (KUNA) — Tension is building up in Ain Al-Hilweh refugee camp southern Lebanon after unknown gunmen killed a man, who on his part have killed a Fatah Movement member Monday afternoon.
According to official media outlets, the security situation is tense, amidst shooting heard inside the camp, which has been witnessing heavy clashes between Fatah and other militias since last August.
The Fatah Movement member was shot by another belonging to Bilal Bader group, leading to his death.
As a result, the joint Palestinian security forces intervened in order to deal with repercussions of the incident and calm the situation.
Ain Al-Hilweh is the largest Palestinian refugee camp in Lebanon, with a population of over 70,000 that swelled to nearly 120,000 as a result of influx of refugees from Syria since 2011. (end) wsm.hb
