Suspect in Virginia shooting killed

WASHINGTON, March 31 (KUNA) — The man who fired shots at a bus station in Richmond, Virginia, and injured three people yesterday has died, media reports said on Thursday, citing Virginia State Police Spokesperson Corinne Geller.
The man injured three people including a Virginia state police officer who was shot in the chest and transported to a hospital with life threatening injuries, said local news affiliate WJLA after receiving an update from Virginia police. The two other civilians are also being taken to the hospital.
The shooting occurred at an entrance to the Greyhound bus bay during a routine police training exercise.
“We’re not going to get into any details at this point. As you can imagine, this still is in the early stages of the investigation,” said Geller. (end)
