Sudanese gov't lifts monopoly on three oil products

KHARTOUM, Jan 26 (KUNA) — The Sudanese government announced on Tuesday a lifting of monopoly on three oil products; cooking gas, jet fuel, and fuel.
In a statement, Sudan’s Finance Minister Bader Ad-deen Mahmoud attributed this move to the slide in oil prices in the global markets.
Sudan has recently suffered from a rarity of cooking gas so the government had to issue a decision to raise price on Monday.
The main aim of ending monopoly is to secure needs of consumers and productive sectors.
Chairman of the Federation of Sudanese Employers Saud Al-Berair described the move as “positive.” (end)
