Strategic Expert: ISIS Is Still Active With Its Sleeper Cells And With External Support

Baghdad The Director of Al-Etimad Center for Security and Strategic Studies, retired Major General Imad Alo, confirmed that the terrorist organization ISIS is still active with its sleeper cells and with external support.

He told the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA): The terrorist organization is trying to organize its ranks and return to the Iraqi and Syrian arenas, and the organization is active in al-Hol camp, which has witnessed several developments during the recent period.

He added: What is happening in the country of interruptions and political obstruction, in which the security and military services will be forced to deploy units in vital areas and state institutions to protect them, in addition to protecting civil peace and public and private property against any negative development as a result of the political blockage between forces that have armed wings.

He explained: The terrorist organization ISIS will benefit from these repercussions and the political dispute by resuming its activity through its sleeper cells, with external support for it that does not want stability for the country.
