Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (KAHRAMAA), through the National Program for Conservation and Energy Efficiency (Tarsheed), announced the end of the operation and installation of the station No. 19 to charge electrical vehicles at the Cultrual Village Foundation (Katara).
Eng. Essa bin Hilal Al Kuwari, KAHRAMAA President, expressed his happiness in fruitful cooperation between KAHRAMAA and Katara, saying: “This is the 19th station we have installed, which is the fastest charger for electric vehicles in the State of Qatar with a capacity of 180 KW and with a direct current system that has the ability to fully charge a car in less than 10 minutes”.
It is noteworthy that KAHRAMAA is in the process of completing the awarding of a tender for general installation and operation of 100 stations for charging electric vehicles throughout the State of Qatar,which is the nucleus of the infrastructure for the first electric vehicle charging stations in the country.
