Sheikh Salman highlights importance of capacity building programs

KUWAIT, June 5 (KUNA) — Minister of Information and Chairman of the National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters (NCCAL) Sheikh Salman Sabah Al-Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah said Sunday it is a huge challenge to qualify and train the human resources, especially in the cultural field.
The aspirations and goals of NCCAL’s cultural strategies cannot be achieved without fully qualified and trained the human resources, Sheikh Salman told a ceremony to honor the trainers and trainees at NCCAL’s first cultural training program.
The program is a launching mark of a national cultural training center, he said, reiterating the Council’s strive to invest all academic and specialized expertise in all cultural and arts fields to achieve the desired goal.
Two national cultural centers, sponsored by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, are to open very soon; Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Center and Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salem Cultural Center, the minister mentioned, noting that the two cultural bodies will be a significant quantum leap in the country’s cultural action.
Sheikh Salman also stressed the importance of caring for human training and development to enhance the country’s cultural movement and achieve the cultural aspirations in the state and private sectors, adding that nations would not improve without human development, sound thought, and correct building.
Investing in human resources is important for building Kuwait’s future, he said, wishing all development and prosperity for Kuwait under the leadership of His Highness the Amir, His Highness the Crown Prince, and His Highness the Prime Minister. (end) ma
