Sheikh Salman commends achievements of disabled youth

KUWAIT, March 13 (KUNA) — Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Sabah Al-Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah said Sunday the Kuwaiti youth with special needs made outstanding achievements at the recent international events.
“At the behest of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah the State of Kuwait spares no effort to support the talented youths particularly those with special needs,” he said.
The minister made the comments during a celebration to honor the Kuwaiti participants at the AccessAbilities Expo 2016, held at Dubai World Trade Centre on February 9-11 under the theme of “Bringing accessibility for people with disabilities to the Middle Eastern markets and economy.” He commended as exemplary the Kuwaiti pavilion at the Expo and the performance of the Kuwaiti youth with disabilities.
Sheikh Salman called on all Kuwait youth to do more efforts, make innovative achievements, and excel in creativity and assert themselves in all fields.
Meanwhile, head of Kuwait mission to the Expo Al-Anoud Al-Harbi said the Kuwaiti pavilion was rated as the second best among the 35 pavilions at the Expo “thanks to the collective efforts of the Kuwait mission.” She thanked Sheikh Salman for the limitless support he and the Ministry of State for the Youth Affairs offered to the mission before and during the event.
At the end of the ceremony, Sheikh Salman and the Honorary President of the Kuwaiti Disabled Sport Club Sheikha Sheikha Al-Abdullah Al-Sabah honored the members of the mission. (end) fsa.gb
