Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Award Organises Prime Minister Medals Forum

WAM DUBAI, 14th September 2013 (WAM)– The Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Programme at the Prime Minister Office in the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs has organised the “Prime Minister Medals Forum” for the candidates nominated for this category by the federal authorities as part of the preparations undertaken by the Programme for the third session of the Emirates Government Excellence Award.

The Forum helped familiarise the candidates working at the federal government with the categories of the Prime Minister Medals and the criteria for application. It also elaborated the evaluation methodology and provided a comprehensive definition of the technical requirements for the preparation of requisite reports, according to the Ministry’s press release. The effort was to raise the awareness of the candidates about the principles of excellence, knowledge transfer and exchange of best practices, and help them benefit from the experiences of previous winners and contribute to advancing excellence in the institutions of the federal government.

The importance of these medals within the categories of Emirates Government Excellence Awards are derived from the vision and thought of Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who has always reiterated that human capital is the real engine of excellence and success.

“The Forum was organised to promote the culture of excellence and development as well as achieve cooperation with strategic partners. The involvement of federal agencies in the organisation of this event was important in view of the keenness of the federal government to improve the services provided by federal authorities and agencies to a level that meets the aspirations of the citizens and brings them happiness in line with the goals of the UAE Vision 2021,” said Hessa Buhumaid, Executive Director for Government Services Sector at the Prime Minister Office.

The Prime Minister Medals cover various areas of work excellence and include all jobs at the federal government entities.
