Seven Coal Miners Killed in Afghanistan

Kabul, Seven coalmine workers were killed by insurgents in Tala-wa-Barfak district of Afghanistan’s north-eastern Baghlan province on Friday, local officials said.
District Governor Faiz Mohammad Amiri said the 14 workers were in a minibus on their way home when they were attacked by the insurgents in the village of Anar Darah.
“Four other workers were wounded in the attack, and three escaped unhurt,” Amiri said.
No group took immediate responsibility for the attack.
