Schools Go Pink with Breast Cancer Arabia

WAM DUBAI, 15th September, 2013 (WAM) — Breast Cancer Arabia is going back to school next month as Dubai and Abu Dhabi “go pink” for October.

When it comes to protecting yourself, family and friends against diseases like breast cancer it is never too early to get the right information and learn life saving lessons. The Breast Cancer Arabia School’s Campaign is targeted at opening young minds, so that students are eager to learn. By making sure that schools have access to the right information, students and families can become empowered by education, which can help to change the future for many families.

“This year Breast Cancer Arabia is proud to have teamed up with brands that not only support education, but have a strong sense of corporate social responsibility,” said Elizabeth Reyes Founder of the Breast Cancer Arabia Foundation. “Virgin Megastore, Davies Sports, Al Gurg Stationery (Easa Saleh Al Gurg Group LLC ) and Borders are all on board supporting the October 2013 campaign”.

Any school taking part in Dubai Goes Pink or Abu Dhabi Goes Pink initiative will have the chance of winning some amazing resources for their pupils; iPads, MEEP! tablets, PE equipment, school stationery supplies and library books are all up for grabs.

Through their event activities, these schools will be supporting breast cancer patients. The Breast Cancer Arabia Foundation sponsors treatment for women diagnosed with breast cancer who are unable to afford the cost of their treatment. By schools getting involved, they will also be helping to make a difference to the lives of women and their families affected by breast cancer.
