Saudi King thanks leaders who attended “North Thunder” drill

RIYADH, March 14 (KUNA) — Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz expressed his appreciation to leaders and representatives of countries who attended the closing ceremony of “North Thunder” Exercise, Saudi Cabinet said in its weekly statement Monday.
The Saudi King also thanked them for attending a military parade of Saudi Armed Forces and the participating forces that took place on Thursday and Friday, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) carried the statement.
“The exercise showed keenness to strengthen military ties between the brothers and friends and maintain the security and stability by raising the level of combating readiness and assessing the ability to manage military operations aiming to achieve the unity of ranks and ward off dangers facing Arab and Islamic nations, ” the statement pointed out.
The “North Thunder” exercise is considered the biggest Arab and Islamic military maneuvers that were seen in the region. At least 20 Arab and Islamic states joined the exercise in response to an invitation by Saudi Arabia. (end) ysm.nfm
