Russian PM Holds Meeting with Chinese President

Moscow, March 21 (QNA) – Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin and China President Xi Jinping exchanged views on the two countries’ strategic partnership and prospects for further development in the long term.

During the meeting, Mishustin pointed out that last year, traffic was opened on the crossings of cars and railways across the Amur river. He added that new projects are being developed that would significantly increase transport along Siberia transit routes and across Asia.

He explained that under the new geopolitical conditions, the importance of transportation and logistics corridors based on the development of cross-border infrastructure is increasing.

He stressed Russia’s interest in further strengthening the comprehensive partnership and strategic cooperation with China.

On Monday, the Chinese president arrived in Russia for a three-day visit, his first foreign visit after his re-election for a third presidential term.

Moscow and Beijing will sign ten joint documents, including the Russian-Chinese joint statement on deepening partnership and strategic interaction in line with entering a new era and a joint statement on a plan for development of the main areas of economic cooperation for 2030.
