Road Safety Reviews 29 Plans of MOTC

Within the framework of meetings series of the follow-up committee of the National Committee for Road Safety, with representatives of ministries and concerned authorities to follow up their implementation of the National Road Safety Strategy, the Committee held last Wednesday a meeting with the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MOTC).

Dr. Ibrahim Al Nuaimi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education and the Head of the Committee said the projects of MOTC is very important for achieving the goals of the National Road Safety Strategy, and that the achievements of the Ministry in this area is not hidden to anyone. Al Nuaimi said the committee’s role is to support the ministry to achieve its priorities and address the challenges that may affect the progress of these projects.

Rashid Taleb Al Nabet, the Assistant Undersecretary of Land Transport Affairs at MOTC, highlighted the importance of the meeting as it is on the core competencies that the ministry is working to achieve and seeks to preserve the safety of lives and properties, under the National Road Safety Strategy.

The team, represented by Eng. Hamad Issa and Eng. Mohamed Abahah, reviewed the 29 plans of the ministry, distributed across various departments and timelines.
