Red Crescent branch in Umm Al Quwain has raised more than AED 200,000 in project “Mir Ramadan”

WAM UMM AL QUWAIN, July 1st, 2013 (WAM) — The Red Crescent branch in Umm Al Quwain has raised more than AED 200,000 from project “Mir Ramadan” for 2013, which will benefit 3769 members of 659 families in the emirate, thanks to its collaboration with the Manama Shopping Centre.

Dr. Youssef Nasser bin Houdebh, Director of the Red Crescent branch, said that the branch will be implementing a number of events and humanitarian and charitable activities during the Holy Month of Ramadan, including the breaking of the fast project. It is expected that 846 people will be served breakfast daily, a total of 25380 meals throughout the Holy Month, in collaboration with the project benefactors, the citizens and residents of Umm Al Quwain.
