RCA distributes clothes to 4000 Pakistani children

WAM LAHORE, 28th August 2013 (WAM)– The UAE’s Red Crescent Authority (RCA) today distributed donated clothes to four thousand orphaned and underprivileged children in suburban Lahore, Pakistan, the Director of RCA Office, Hamad Abdullah Al Ali, said.

The UAE humanitarian major’s operation in Pakistan is in response to the “Clothe One Million Children” which was launched by Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, in this year’s Holy Month of Ramadan.

Al Ali noted that the number of beneficiaries has reached 20,000 children throughout Pakistan.

The official added that RCA will move ahead with its aid plan to serve underprivileged people, including orphans, widows, the elderly and people with special needs in Sindh and Baluchistan regions where the operation will last for at least a month.
