Out of 17 UN SDG’s evaluated, QU submitted 13, which include zero hunger (ranked second in Arab world, first in the Gulf), good health and wellbeing, quality education, clean water and sanitation (ranked fourth in Arab world, third in the Gulf), affordable and clean energy, decent work and economic growth (fourth in Arab world and Gulf), reduced inequalities, sustainable cities and communities (fourth in Arab world, first in Gulf), climate action, life below water (first in Arab world and Gulf), life on land (first in Arab world and Gulf), peace justice and strong institutions and finally, partnership for the goals (fourth in Arab world, second in Gulf).

When QU launched its strategy in 2017, it did so in alignment with the Qatar National Vision 2030, insuring that the University worked towards national goals. As a member state of the UN, Qatar is committed to fulfilling its obligations towards implementing the SDGs.

QU continues to make waves in various international rankings. Just last month the University placed 26 in the overall THE Emerging Economies University Rankings for 2021 and was recognized by QS Quacquarelli Symonds World University Rankings in 13 different subjects.
