Qatar University College of Engineering (QU-CENG) Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering (DMIE) hosted the fourth Nano-Microscale Engineering in Medicine Workshop. The workshop, which was organized by Dr. Anwarul Hasan from DMIE, aimed to share the latest findings of ongoing research projects related to the application of engineering and technology in medicine and health care. Dr. Nasrin Mesaeli from Weill Cornell Medicine – Qatar (WCM-Q) was present to deliver a keynote speech at the workshop.

The workshop was attended by more than 45 researchers including faculty members, research students, research assistants, PhD students, medical practitioners and technologists from various departments at QU and a delegate of speakers from Sultan Qaboos University in Oman, Hamad Medical Corporation and WCM-Q.

A number of research areas were discussed in the workshop including: biomechanics, biomimetic, biomaterials, biosensors, sport mechanics, tissue engineering, biology systems modelling, medical imaging, education and training, rehabilitation, nanotechnology, surgical systems and modeling physiological systems.
