Under the patronage of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani

Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar, Qatar University announces that the Graduation Ceremony for the class of 2019 will occur on Monday, 7 October, 2019. The ceremony for the distinguished female students will be held in the presence of Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Hamad bin Suhaim Al-Thani, wife of His Highness the Amir, on Tuesday, 8 October, 2019. QU will also organize graduation ceremonies for female students from each college, starting 9 October and ending 16 October 2019, all of which will take place in the QU Sports and Events Complex.

This ceremony marks the 42nd installment of the annual QU ceremony, with around 3,500 students graduating this year and 400 receiving outstanding honors.

Dr. Khalid Mohamed Al-Khanji, Vice President for Student Affairs commented saying, Once again, the university celebrates another installment of graduates, who will enter the labor market with enthusiasm, determination and ambition. They will breathe new blood into the economy of Qatar, to serve the community with the knowledge they have gained.

He adds, Qatar University was founded in 1977 with a limited number of colleges and programs. Now it encompasses 10 colleges with dozens of programs that meet the needs of the country, promote human development and scientific research in the State of Qatar. We take great pride in hearing feedback about the performance of our graduates in various professional sectors.
