Qatar National Library (QNL) has successfully concluded the third edition of the “Young Adults’ Summer Camp”, which included exciting activities aimed at empowering young people who are keen to develop their skills and creativity.

A total of seven sessions took place between 23 July to 11 August 2022 to offer young people the opportunity to explore their passion. The range of activities appealed to those interested in research and learning and touched on science experiments, robotics, engineering, career guidance, and visual design.

The “Young Adults’ Summer Camp” began with a session that demonstrated science experiments, which were popular among the attendees. The session was an opportunity to learn about the subject of chemistry through interactive techniques.

The sessions also featured a book club on career guidance, in collaboration with the Qatar Career Development Center. Students discussed popular books that can support their future career planning.

Additionally, there were sessions where visitors learned how to use the online platform Canva for graphic design, how to build robots, the technological aspects of engineering, as well as displaying their creativity through arts and crafts.

One of the workshops involved discussing the book Be Red Tea, which aims to help young people who want to make changes in their lives.

Commenting on the occasion of the third edition of the Young Adults’ Summer Camp, Ahmed Yousef Almalki, Head of Young Adults said: “The third ‘Young Adults’ Summer Camp’ was a huge success this summer and provided a variety of educational activities for young people such as arts and crafts, design, science exploration and robotics, in line with the Library’s vision to develop the skills and talents of young people to exploit the existing resources available to them.”
