QNB Stars League: Al Arabi, Al Sailiya Coaches Ready for Friday’s Match

Al Arabi coach Younes Ali and Al Sailiya coach Sami Trabelsi spoke to the media ahead of their 2022-2023 season QNB Stars League Week 17 match tomorrow.

Al Arabi coach Younes Ali said: “Facing Al Sailiya is difficult especially since they are a team that wants to move away from the danger zone. The preparations are going on well and started after the last match against Al Gharafa.”

“We are well-prepared for the match, the atmosphere in the team is fine and we are able to surpass Al Sailiya. That requires focus and we must take advantage of opportunities.”

“The match will see the return of (Omar) Al Somah, while Abdullah Maarafi will sit out with suspension. The possibility of Rafinha’s participation is doubtful and the team relies on the group.”

“We are always working to develop ourselves and take advantage of the opportunities that are available to us. Facing Al Sailiya will not be easy especially since they badly need points and we will do our best,” said Younes.

For his part, Al Sailiya coach Sami Trabelsi said: “We are in a difficult situation, but we must have the hope of staying in the league until the last moment. We are well aware that Al Arabi are a distinguished team and one of the three best clubs this season. Certainly, the technical differences outweigh the Al Arabi team, but football is not subject to prejudices. God-willing, we will be determined and focused and not make mistakes.”

“We still suffer from inconsistency on the field and many players have had their self-confidence affected during the first leg of the league. We always have problem when we concede a goal, you feel that the team loses focus. Besides, we have lack of bench strength and many players suffered injuries. Despite that, we will deal with all these problems with self-confidence, determination and focus in order to get the team out of this difficult situation,” said Trabelsi.
