Qatar Development Bank (QDB) has launched the Green Financing program for supporting eco-friendly projects, as part of national business ecosystem.

The program covers a wide range of sectors and small and medium enterprises (SMEs) manufacturing green products with positive environmental impact, including companies that add technological solutions or environmentally friendly processes for their operations, with the aim of reducing their energy cost and addressing environmental issues arising from their operations.

Mr. Abdulrahman Hesham Al Sowaidi, QDB Acting CEO, said that supporting sustainability through this financing program and other programs is part of the Bank’s strategy related to supporting environmentally friendly projects, meeting the requirements of this period nationally and globally. Al Sowaidi indicated that QDB is operating in accordance with its institutional responsibility to support entrepreneurs in line with the country’s national vision for building a sustainable knowledge-based economy.
