QC Ramadan Projects Kick off in 40 Countries

Qatar Charity (QC) has begun implementing its Ramadan projects under the ‘Ramadan: Leave Your Mark’ campaign in 40 countries worldwide through its field offices and local partners.

The projects worth nearly QR 31 million are expected to benefit more than one million people globally.

These projects focus on disaster and crisis-hit countries like the Syrian interior, Turkiye, Somalia, Bangladesh, and Palestine, in addition to attaching significant attention to those most in need in poor communities.

Nawaf Al Hammadi, CEO’s assistant for the international operations and programs sector at QC said that there are three main projects, which are Feed the Fasting (Food Packages, Iftar Meals, and Iftar Tables), Zakat Al Ftir, and Eid Clothing.

He added that as of today, the implementation of the ‘Feed the Fasting’ project will begin and will continue to be implemented throughout the holy month, while the other two projects are expected to be implemented soon.

Al Hammadi indicated that the ‘Feed the Fasting’ project consists of either ready-to-eat Iftar meals or essential food packages for a family for the whole month of Ramadan. The project worth nearly QR 21.3 million is expected to benefit 452,400 people.

He noted that the Zakat Al Ftir project aims to help underprivileged families and share the joy of Eid with them. The project worth nearly QR 8.2 million is expected to benefit 542,200 people.

Al Hammadi mentioned that the Eid Clothing project aims to share the joy of Eid with orphans, and some 7,065 orphans are expected to benefit from the project worth more than QR 1.4 million.
