Qatari Hajj Mission Lauds Cooperation of Hajj Operators

Makkah Al Mukarramah, October 13 (QNA) – The Qatari Hajj mission on Saturday lauded the cooperation of Hajj operators and contractors, as well as their efforts to improve the services provided to the pilgrims of the State of Qatar.
Speaking during a press conference held today at the mission premises in Makkah, deputy chief of the mission Yusuf Ali Al Kadhim said that this cooperation was evident in the quick response by operators and their commitment to implement the mission’s instructions.
On the preparations to ensure a successful pilgrimage season this year, Al Kadhim said things are going on in a satisfactory manner, highlighting that every member of the mission is well-aware of his responsibility and is ready to serve the pilgrims of Qatar.
He spoke of a range of facilities and services provided by the mission for this year pilgrims, including ‘Hajj Guide’ application, a comprehensive guide with interactive maps that show the locations and sites of the Hajj operators.
This application, he said, can be installed on smartphones such iPad and iPhone and can aid in tracking the location of pilgrims, adding that another technology developed this year will allow the supervision and inspection committee to present its proposals directly to the contractors for consideration. In addition, it provides easy access to the sites of operators, he said.
Al Kadhim also hailed the efforts of the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs’ Hajj and Umrah Department, in providing these new applications and technologies.
