QATAR, U.N. OFFICE IN GENEVA SIGN M.O.U.

Qatar and the United Nations’ Office in Geneva, have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU), on the renovation and modernisation of Hall 19, as an integrated project, as a donation from Qatar.

The MoU was signed for Qatar by the Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar, to the United Nations in Geneva, Ali Khalfan al Mansouri, and Director of the United Nations’ Office in Geneva, Michael Moller.

Moller thanked Qatar for its efforts and interest, in supporting the work of the United Nations, by contributing to the improvement of the means of work, that would help achieve humanitarian objectives, at the international level.

On his part, Ambassador Mansouri stressed Qatar’s interest in the project, and follow up on its implementation plan, as soon as possible, in order to provide more facilities, through the use of the hall by delegations, to discuss various international humanitarian, security and other issues.
