Qatar U-19 Returns to Doha After AFC U-19 Group Stage Exit

Doha, November 09 (QNA) – The delegation of the Qatari U-19 team returned Friday to Doha after participating in the AFC U-19 Championship, currently held in the UAE until November 17.
The team was knocked out of the first round after they lost 0-1 and 2-4 to Australia and Saudi Arabia Respectively. They managed to claw three points from Syria however before ending their participation. Both Australia and Syria qualified for the second round. Syria was equal with Saudi Arabia on points, but it claimed second place on goal difference.
Australia and Syria will meet with Jordan and Uzbekistan. Other teams that have qualified were Iraq and Korea, who will meet with Japan and Iran respectively. (QNA)
