Qatar to Host International Junior Science Olympiad 2019

Fawzia Al Khater, Assistant Undersecretary for Educational Affairs, at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MOEHE), announced that Qatar will host the 16th International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO) from December 3 to 12, 2019 in Doha, organized by MOEHE, in cooperation with Qatar University and Qatar Foundation.

She has also confirmed that the hosting of this competition has been approved by the cabinet, which gives the tournament in the State of Qatar momentum, in cooperation and with the concerted efforts of all state institutions, ensuring its success.

Al Khater expressed her delight over Qatar’s winning opportunity to host one of the most important international scientific competitions for students at this stage, which was achieved by Qatar shortly after its participation in the Olympiad, despite competition from other participating countries, thanks to Qatar’s status in the world, gained through the wise leadership of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

It’s worth to mention that Qatar is the first Arab country to organize this international tournament.
