Qatar SC Wins West Asian Youth Athletics Championship

Qatar SC was crowned the champion of the first edition of the West Asian Youth Athletics Championship. The championship concluded today at Suheim Bin Hamad Stadium in the Qatar SC with the participation of 250 athletes representing 12 clubs, competing over three days.

Qatar SC won the first place and the gold medal in the championship after collecting 233 points from their participation in 22 competitions.

Al Arabi SC finished second with 207 points to win silver medal, followed by Kuwaiti Kazma club in third place and the bronze medal with 121 points, Kuwaiti Al Qadsia club in fourth place with 108 points, Yemeni Tarim in fifth place with 42 points, Oman’s Salalah club in sixth place with 23 points, and Omani Al Salam club in seventh place with 19 points.

HE chairman of the supreme organizing committee of the championship Sheikh Suheim bin Abdulaziz Al-Thani crowned the top three teams, in the presence of President of the West Asian Athletics Association Sayyar Al Enezi and President of the Qatar Athletics Federation Mohamed Issa Al Fadala
