Qatar Racing’s KINGSHOLM back in winners’ enclosure at Wolverhampton

KINGSHOLM (IRE) (Tagula x Fixed Gaze), notched his second victory in the Handicap, a five-furlong race three-year-olds rated 0-80, at Wolverhampton on Monday, 19 October, evening. The three-year-old bay gelding, trained by James Fanshawe, had his first win over the same course and distance in August.

KINGSHOLM is owned by Qatar Racing Limited in partnership with D. Howden and David Redvers, racing manager to HE Sheikh Fahad Bin Abdullah Bin Khalifa Al Thani’s Qatar Racing Limited. Taking on his elders on Monday, under Cieren Fallon, the second jockey to Qatar Racing, they traveled in behind the leaders on this turning track. The duo hit the front with two furlongs still to run and had to battle hard to hold off the competition. KINGSHOLM was eventually able to land the spoils by a neck in front of MUTABAAHY (Oasis Dream), with DREAM HOUSE (Coach House) in third by three-quarters of a length.
