The State of Qatar participated in the ministerial meeting to follow up on Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and Partnership, which was held on the sidelines of the 76th session of the UN General Assembly in New York.
The State of Qatar was represented at the meeting by HE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi.
During the meeting, HE Al Muraikhi reiterated the position of the State of Qatar which emphasizes the need to adhere to Iraq’s national unity and sovereignty, and to achieve all necessary conditions to preserve it, mainly by strengthening state institutions and maintaining weapons under the legitimate control of the state.
HE the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs affirmed Qatar’s commitment, as a sisterly country to the Republic of Iraq, to supporting the interest of this country and its brotherly people.
