Marrakesh, March 05 (QNA) – The State of Qatar, represented by the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA), the airport security department of the Ministry of Interior and the National Cyber Security Agency, participated in the international conference on “combating civil aviation security threats,” in Marrakesh, Morocco, under the supervision and organization of the US Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and the Arab Civil Aviation Organization (ACAO).
The state delegation during the conference was headed by Mohammed Faleh Al Hajri, who is in charge of managing QCAA.
The conference, which was held with the participation of high-level officials in the civil aviation sector of many Middle East and African countries, discussed many issues and matters related to best practices adopted to protect civil aviation from various threats such as electronic attacks, drones, chemical and biological attacks, explosives, and other threats.
The conference also reviewed how to find effective ways to achieve civil aviation security and enhance its capabilities to confront any type of attack.
It discussed ways to address the risks that it may be exposed to by adopting modern and advanced methods, in addition to reviewing ways to enhance cooperation and coordination between the concerned parties in the aviation security system to achieve all of these goals.
