He said, the total value of the economic contracts signed between the Qatari and French sides, over the past year, amounted to approximately QR 32.7 billion (eight billion euros).

The French Ambassador made these remarks to Qatar news agency (QNA), on the sideline of the business meetings organised by the national agency for supporting the international development of the French economy (Business France), aiming to introduce ten French companies.

Eric Chevallier said, these companies are working in the field of high-end hospitality, in terms of standards and the products offered in this sector, adding that, they came to Qatar because of the belief that there is a diversity of Qatar’s economy, and that, despite the decline in oil prices, the Qatari economy is witnessing activity and growth, as a result of diversity policy pursued in the country.
