Qatar, India to form joint committee to boost cooperation

DOHA, June 5 (KUNA) — Qatar and India agreed Sunday on forming a supreme joint strategic committee to coordinate and follow up efforts to beef up bilateral foreign policy cooperation and coordination.
The two sides have also signed several memoranda of understanding for cooperation in several other domains such as investment, economy, security, customs, tourism, health, youth and sports.
They also inked a memo for exchanging information related to money laundering and terrorism finance.
The agreements were signed following a meeting between Qatari Amir Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and Indian Premier Narendra Modi. (end) nnd.ibi
