Qatar Gymnasts Head to China For Asian Championship

Doha, November 07 (QNA) – Qatar’s gymnastics squad heads to China Wednesday to compete in the 5th Asian Championship in Artistic Gymnastics to be held in Putian, China, according to a Qatar Olympic Committee bulletin today.
The championships will be held from November 7 to 15 at the Sports Center in Putian, a prefecture-level city in East China’s Fujian province.
The event, organized by Asian Gymnastics Union, the Gymnastics Management Center of China General Administration of Sport and the Putian government, is expected to attract about 140 athletes from 15 to 20 countries and regions across Asia.
The championship features 14 events, eight for men and six for women.
The Qatari squad includes Nasser Mousa, Mahmoud Al Saadi, Malik Al Yahri, and Al Gazi Abdulrahman Al Habashi. (QNA)
