Qatar Friday confirmed receiving a list of demands, on June 22, from Arab and Gulf countries, while expressing gratitude for the State of Kuwait’s role in overcoming “current crisis.”

The Qatari Foreign Ministry said in a statement the government was “examining the list of demands and the basis of these demands in order to prepare the appropriate response and hand it over to the State of Kuwait.

” The ministry expressed Qatar’s gratitude for Kuwait’s endeavors that were aimed at “overcoming the current crisis.”

Earlier Friday, His Highness the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah expressed hope a rift among Arab and Gulf countries would be mended to pave way for security, stability and prosperity in the GCC countries.

His Highness the Amir expressed his hopes during phone calls with Qatari Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of UAE Armed Forces Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, and Saudi Crown Prince, Deputy Premier and Defense Minister Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz.

His Highness the Amir and the Gulf leaders discussed developments in the region, particularly the tension in relations between Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain and Egypt on one side and Qatar on the other.
