Qatar beat Bangladesh in Asian U16 qualifiers

DOHA, Hosts Qatar began their campaign in the AFC U-16 Championship 2020 with a 2-0 victory over Bangladesh on Wednesday.

Rashid Al Abdulla and Abdulrahman Al Dosari struck in the second half to secure Qatar a 2-0 win over Bangladesh at the Aspire Dome Indoor Stadium.

Bangladesh displayed defensive discipline to hold the Qataris to a goalless draw heading into the half-time break.

Their resistance, however, was broken in the 55th minute as Al Abdulla found the back of the net to break deadlock.

Bangladesh tried to fight back but Al Dosari seal the win for Qatar right at the end.

Qatar will play Yemen on Friday while Bangladesh will face Bhutan.
