Qatar and the UK Sign Cooperation Agreement in Defense Field

London, March 24 The State of Qatar and the UK signed yesterday Wednesday a cooperation agreement in the field of defense.

HE Qatar’s Minister of State for Defense Affairs Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah signed the agreement with the UK Secretary of State for Defence Michael Fallon. HE Qatar’s Ambassador in the United Kingdom Yusouf bin Ali Alkhater attended the signing along with the delegation that accompanied HE Minister of State for Defense Affairs.

HE Al Attiyah also met with UK Prime Minister David Cameron.

Additionally, HE Al Attiyah met with Chief of the Defence Staff Sir Nicholas Hutton, next Vice Chief of the Defence Staff Lieutenant General Gordon Messenger and Minister of State for Defence Procurement at the Ministry of Defence Philip Dunne. HE Al Attiyah met with all three officials in separate meetings.

HE the Minister of State for Defense Affairs met with Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs. Philip Hammond. They discussed facets of bilateral cooperation between the two countries, particularly in the defense field.
