Qatar Achieves New Milestone in the Comprehensive Audit of Civil Aviation Safety

The State of Qatar, represented by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), has set a new record in the results of the safety oversight audit of civil aviation according to the Universal Safety Oversight Audit Program (USOAP), in a precedent is the first of its kind.

International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) has conducted an audit of the CAA and its safety system, through which it verifies the compatibility of the country’s air safety standards with the international standards and standards contained in the Chicago Convention on International Civil Aviation and its annexes.

For the first time in the world, the aviation safety of the civil aviation system in the State of Qatar achieved a compliance rate of 91,16 according to the new ICAO standards, which were implemented in 2018. Thus, the State of Qatar becomes the first country to receive this percentage through the results of a comprehensive audit of all aspects of the aviation safety of the civil aviation system.
