Putin Says Russia and Turkey Can Agree on Syria Approaches

St. Petersburg, – Russia and Turkey share the same aim of reaching a settlement for the crisis in Syria and it is possible to resolve differences, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.

Putin was speaking on Tuesday after meeting Turkish President Recep Tayyib Erdogan, who is currently visiting Russia as the two countries move towards re-normalizing bilateral ties.

The Russian president said the two countries did not always share the same views on Syria but added that they agreed to talk further and seek solutions.

“I think it is possible to align our views and approaches,” Putin told reporters.
