KUWAIT, June 8 (KUNA) — The public tenders law tentatively approved on Wednesday by the National Assembly provides transparency and saves public funds, said Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Sheikh Mohammad Al-Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah.
Following a parliamentary session today, Sheikh Mohammad Al-Abdullah told reporters in a statement that the law is a main base of restructuring the country’s economy which is mainly based on government tenders.
The public tenders legislation is a contemporary law of new concepts, he said, indicating that consultation was sought from the the World Bank and some local and foreign companies for working out these new concepts.
