Protests in Britain over Trump’s Decision

London, Tens of thousands of people across Britain have protested over US President Donald Trump’s decision to ban citizens of seven countries from entering the United States.

Glasgow, Newcastle, Edinburgh, Cardiff, Manchester and Birmingham also had large demonstrations.

The rallies, which were held in every major British city and several smaller towns, drew huge crowds despite being announced less than a day earlier.

Meanwhile, Trump’s state visit to the UK is expected to be debated in Parliament after senior Conservatives joined more than one and a half million people calling for it to be cancelled.

On Saturday, the US President issued an executive order banning citizens of Libya, Iraq, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Yemen and Iran from entering the country.
