President Receives Condolences From Arab Kings, Presidents And Princes For The Tragedy Of Ibn Al-Khatib Hospital


Baghdad The President of the Republic, Barham Salih, received condolences from Arab kings, presidents and princes for the tragedy of Ibn Al-Khatib Hospital fire in Baghdad, which killed dozens of citizens.

A presidential statement stated: “The President of the Republic received a phone call from Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, condoling the Iraqi people about the painful incident, asking God Almighty to provide the victims with His mercy and the speedy recovery of the wounded, stressing that Egypt, the people and the government, stand by Iraq in this incident.”

President Barham Salih also received telegrams of condolences from King Abdullah II of Jordan, Sultan of Oman Haitham bin Tariq Al Said, Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Crown Prince Sheikh Meshaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, and Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, Deputy Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Thani, Lebanese President Michel Aoun, Speaker of Parliament Nabih Berri, and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, where they expressed in the telegrams their deepest condolences to the Iraqi people, asking the Almighty to provide the victims with the His mercy and to grant the injured a speedy recovery, and for Iraq and its people to be preserved from all harm and blessed with good and peace..
