President Barrow Returns Home to Gambia

Banjul, -President Adama Barrow returned to Gambia Thursday after a post-election crisis forced him to flee to neighbouring Senegal.

Barrow, who took office on January 19, landed at the airport in the capital, Banjul.

Barrow’s return to Gambia comes after his predecessor, Yahya Jammeh, went into exile in Equatorial Guinea on Saturday, after weeks of pressure from West African leaders to step down.
