HE Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, issued today the Decision No. (53) of 2021 to form the supervisory committee and executive committees concerned with the Shura Council’s elections and specify their jurisdictions, which comes within the framework of the Ministry of Interior (MOI)’s preparations for holding the Shura Council’s elections.

MOI, in its tweet on its official Twitter account, clarified that this Decision comes within the framework of MOI’s intensive preparations for holding the elections of the Shura Council in its first session.

The Decision stipulated that the supervisory committee concerned with the Shura Council’s elections in 2021 be formed under the chairmanship of Major General Majid Ibrahim Al Khulaifi, Director of Elections Department, and Brigadier General Salem Saqr Al Muraikhi, Director of the Legal Affairs Department, to be appointed as the Vice Chairman.
