KUWAIT, March 7 (KUNA) — The plan to develop Kuwaiti ports aims to increase their space capacity and operational efficiency, Director General of the Kuwait Ports Authority (KPA) Sheikh Youssef Al-Abdullah Al-Sabah Al-Nasser Al-Sabah said Monday.
It also includes promoting cadres in charge of operations inside the ports; Sheikh Youssef added in a press statement on the sidelines of the first meeting of the joint committee on stocktaking the KPA’s land storage areas.
The KPA is currently taking steps to remove many obstacles in cooperation with relevant bodies, he said.
According to Sheikh Youssef Al-Abdullah, a top priority of the authority at present is to make the utmost use of KPA’s lots of land and storage areas through field visits, to reassess and develop them, as part of the efforts to offer standard logistic services to benefit the local and world trade.
