PKK female suicide bomber carried out Ankara bombing – Turkey

ANKARA, March 15 (KUNA) — The Turkish Interior Ministry on Tuesday identified the bomber in Sunday’s deadly bombing attack in Ankara as a Kurdistan Workers’ Party female member named Seher Cagla Demir.
In a press statement carried by Anadolu News Agency, the ministry said 24-year-old Demir joined the PKK group in 2013 and received training with the YPG in Syria.
It described YPG as a militant wing of the Syrian terrorist group PYD.
Demir was registered in Turkey’s eastern province of Kars’s Kagizman district.
The car bomb attack in Ankara’s central Kizilay neighborhood Sunday evening hit a major public transportation hub, killing 37 people and injuring dozens others. (end) rs.ibi
