Dr. Layla Al Dahnaim, Head of School Health Department at the Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC), announced that the Corporation will continue to implement the e-health filing program in schools and shall begin to apply the program in 16 government schools next week, in various locations across Doha.

Al Dahnaim also added that through this project, modern electronic systems shall be adopted to manage student health records within school clinics and will transform current paper files to electronic ones, containing complete demographic data, personal health information and vaccination records, in line with the students e-health file at health centers, where this service has been executed at 96 government schools so far.

Dr. Layla also stated that nurses at schools undertook a number of extensive training courses over more than three weeks, which included sessions on logging students’ visits to school clinics, registering their personal information and vital data, categorizing their condition based on priority, in addition to transferring patients electronically from the school clinic to the health center.
