Palestinian Foreign Ministry warns of Israel's schemes in Jerusalem

RAMALLAH, June 8 (KUNA) — The Palestinian Foreign Ministry on Wednesday warned of Israel’s judaization policy in regions located within “zone G” in the holy city of Jerusalem.
The occupation authorities’ measures in the “G regions, which are under Israeli control, will lead to dire consequences and will undermine chances of reaching a settlement on the basis of establishing two states,” it said in a statement.
Israeli Government of Benjamin Netanyahu is seeking to create de facto conditions in “zone G” in Jerusalem with aim of judaizing these areas, the official statement said.
According to the Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor, eu 65 million worth of European aid for the Palestinian territories, provided since 2001, have been wasted due to Israel’ systematic demolishing of key installations, construction of which has been financed by the Europeans. More than 165 installations built with European contributions have been razed to the ground during the first three months of this year.
The Palestinian Foreign Ministry urged the international community to capitalize on the French initiative aimed at holding serious and substantial negotiations. It also called for coercing Israel to halt construction of settlements. (end) nq.rk
