Pakistani Minister of Foreign Affairs receives UAE Ambassador in Islamabad

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, met with Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salem Al Zaabi, UAE Ambassador to Pakistan, at the headquarters of the ministry in the Pakistani capital, Islamabad.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed bilateral ties and several issues of mutual concern.

Al Zaabi highlighted the deep-rooted relations between the UAE and Pakistan and their mutual keenness to strengthen overall cooperation, noting that Pakistan was one of the first countries to establish ties with the UAE.

He also lauded the historical social and cultural ties between their peoples, and stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation and future economic and commercial partnerships.

For his part, Zardari commended the distinguished ties between the two friendly countries, lauding the UAE’s continuous support for Pakistan in different fields.

Both sides also discussed ways to further enhance relations, as well as regional and international issues of concern.
